ja (an ordinary gal) says:

" Today, i boiled water using the microwave to cook my cup noodle and make a cup of ovaltine. added too much powder- stirred for a long time but there was still some excess powder in it."


ja (a pharmacy student) will say:

"today, which is 12th of April, i put 500ml water into an airtight plastic container. i put the container into the microwave and switched it on so that the water undergo percolation. Then, i poured 300ml of purified water freshly boiled into my cup noodle and another 200ml into my cup with 50.000g (within 1% error) ovaltine powder. Was trying to make an ovaltine solution with aid of heat but apparently, the solubility of ovaltine powder is low in water. Although i agitated the solution rapidly, there was no sufficient purified water freshly boiled in the cup and therefore, the powder precipitated out and my ovaltine solution was not stable."

A few days ago, v learnt about the most interesting lecture of all- THE PRICING OF PRESCRIPTION

ok..

one day, u got sick n went to c the doc..doc prescribed some antibiotics to u..let say 70 pils..n u go to the pharmacy to get them..

In the pharmacy..originally - 100 antibiotic pils cost 100 bucks..

so, u wan 70 pils..i shud price u $70 rite?


But to make in specially for u:

firstly- i hav to open the 100 pils and take out 70 juz for u..hello~~~ who will take the 30 left??
so..even though i might sell it to the next customer or take it home..i shall charge u 'wastage factor' - FOR WASTING MY STUFF!!

n according to PBS table - even though u took 70 n left 30 - wastage factor is supposed to b 30%, but i open door buat business- needa earn la ok?? so- according the table - i can put the wastage factor as 44%..XD

Secondly, ei..i'm a pro pharmacist u know?? i cannot giv u ur pils in a plastic bag la..muz put in some canggih punya bottle - so..container charge - $1

n most importantly, told u i'm a pro pharmacist - so i get to charge PROFESIONAL FEE..FOR BEING PRO..so..another $6.95 plz..

n ..hey..u think i keep ur pills in my pharmacy no need water ar, electricity ar, gas ar..to maintain izit?? all those no need money izit?? harhar?? so..another mark up charge - 75% = $75..

ultimately:

Ur medicine price is =

Wholesale price of pils = $100
mark-up = 75% x 100 = $75
Wastage factor = 44%
professional fee = $6.95
COntainer fee = $1

($100+$75) x 44% + $6.95 + $1 = $84.95 = $85

original price of medicine (70 pils) = $70
actual price = $85

Earn $15 d..XD

My first post

Endless mugging and munching could really kill one's brain cells and sanity. After a week of studying with endless junk food, sm and i got so bored on thursday nite that v decided to visit our fren in UWA. Guess who??

After an hour walk in the campus, miss chuah finaly finished her class n v went to the the indian restaurant in SWAN - Annalakshmi.. It's a cool place where u can eat as much as u like and pay as u wan. Sadly,it's a VEGE restaurant..understandable..if not, it probably wun b here nemore..hehe..


Most importantly, the concept of this shop act origin from m'sia. CAN U BELIEVE IT? FROM M'SIA!! where ppl wun feel paiseh paying rm1 for their food!!!neway, the food is quite ok with a very unique dessert...ginger juice + milk..taste gud~~

This morning, it was raining quite heavily..so cold tat it woke me up....adipose tissue not tat thick la....haha..


After lunch, uncle, mr ang zen yang finally decided to get a haircut for 25 bucks( cuz v hav been complaining bout his untidy hair since v came..hehe) So v teman him to coles....cuz he is our specimen...wana c if the barber is gud at cutting hair bo...hehe..

While waiting for him, cha n me went to buy some junkfood...CHOCOLATE IS ON SALES!!! I bot 3 blocks for &5.67!!!! Dirt Cheap LAH!!! n Taste so super nice >.< (pounds adding....n adding....adding somemore....)

So, the slim 'i-look-so-fat' sm suggested that v shud go jogging since all of us bot sport shoes . At 5pm sharp...v went to jog around the neighbourhood. It kinda remind me of the aids run v took part bek in intec...where v got first place (counted from the back=p)
